This place is deserted. I'm gonna post a team of mine to get some traffic in here!
I mean, I can't expect you guys to post if I don't post something myself, right?
Lo' and behold, something that's not worth praise because it's got a generic set of Pokemon on it.
(I like Gen V sprites more than Gen VI)
At a glance, the team looks cool to me, lol, but since it's Poison, the functionality of it isn't going to be S-ranked or anything. It just lacks the versatility as a type to ever become a high-tier team. It has its moments though, and does have room for some creativity. On that note, creativity doesn't mean using Confuse Ray when you can, which can admittedly screw many players up.
Nodt (Venusaur) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Def / 16 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Earthquake
Standard! Acts as my physical wall because it's really good at that with its ability in tandem with its recovery and solid all-around bulk. Giga Drain, Sludge Bomb, and Earthquake pretty much runs through Water by itself bar something like Suicune or Manaphy which can just spam CM and win. It's my usual switch-in to a lot of things since it's just so bulky.
Dieter (Scolipede) @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Megahorn
- Protect
- Aqua Tail
- Rock Slide
Kind of standard! LO Boosted Megahorn + Speed Boost kind of lets it rip through Psychic after softening some Pokemon, namely Jirachi, Victini, and Slowbro. Protect allows you to scout the opponent's move AND raise your speed. Aqua Tail is questionable,, I've had EQ here for a long time, but Aqua Tail lets me hit Landorus harder and that's all there is to it. It was just a test, but I forgot to change it back to EQ, and I don't want to change it because I kind of want to promote you to try something a little different too.
Callum (Gengar) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Sludge Bomb
Another standard set! Destiny Bond because lol, it's funny sometimes. This should be used to eliminate defensive set-up threats because this team doesn't have a set up sweeper and is particularly weak to those kind of Pokemon. Shadow Ball and Sludge Bomb are STAB and hit very hard backed by Life Orb. Why Sludge Bomb over Sludge Wave? 7.5 (just 7) base power vs 20% more chance to Poison WHICH does 12.5% dmg each turn. Mathematically Sludge Bomb is just better in the long run. Focus Blast for c0v3r4g3.
Rivo (Nidoking) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
Usually Nidoqueen is the SR setter, but I've effectively combined both Nidoking and Nidoqueen's roles into one. Sash ensures Nidoking can set up Rocks against fast offensive threats that lack Taunt. Fire Blast and Earth Power are mandatory to break the Steel core. Ice Beam is preferred as the last move for coverage. Tbolt is fine here too, but ehh. Modest makes up for some of the power you lose by forgoing Life Orb.
Sicario (Drapion) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sniper
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pursuit
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Rock Slide
Drapion's sole purpose here is to Pursuit trap Psychic types and revenge kill weakened foes; does it well enough with a scarf, good speed, and a good attack stat. Rock Slide and EQ offers great neutral coverage in tandem with Knock Off. I skipped Poison Jab because Poison has poor coverage anyway, and unlike Gengar, it's not using Life Orb to justify running it just because it's STAB.
Uulu (Tentacruel) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 200 HP / 200 SpD / 108 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Acid Spray
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
Last but not least is Tentacruel, built to be a special wall of sorts and set up Toxic Spikes. Acid Spray is your best way of dealing with Sableye, and is generally useful in wall breaking. You can't wall break with this team. I suppose Gengar could count as one, but ehh. That's where Acid Spray helps, softening Pokemon for your other 3 special attackers to take advantage of. Rapid Spin is your form of hazard control here, which you only desperately need to do if the opponent stacks spikes, or like sticky web, on you. Scald is the best move in the game. Speed was kind of tweaked to beat base 70s, unnecessary, if I'm going to be frank, since the only relevant things that outspeeds is Breloom and Bisharp, both of which can be answered with other things in this team.
AND there's the team! Looks like we don't have a spoiler feature, so I'm not putting an importable out. Just copy/paste it if you want to take it for a spin. If you read this, PLEASE say hi at the least, so I can get a reading of how many people check this part of the forums, which I'm trying to promote more. What I really want you to do is make a RMT of your own! I was sort of just laying down an example.
