As forgot to mention above when applying to become a tutor make sure to know what pokemon are used and why be able to provide some kind of logic/reasoning behind each one if they ask and overall know the monotype before tutoring.

Advanced Descriptions-#1: You should only pick types you are confident in being able to help/tutor others in as well as perform at a reasonably strong level on your own with said type(s). #2: The better your accomplishments, the better your appeal as a tutor. You will still have a fair shot at becoming a tutor, accomplished or not. #3: Don't be caustic or cancerous in chat or when tutoring others. Respect should be conveyed at all times both to fellow staff and non-staff. #4: As a prospective tutor you will battle staff members with the Type(s) and Team(s) you would like to apply for. Overall performance in match-ups will be what is tested as well as choices in game and sets used. You may be asked questions during or after your match(es) with regards to your plays made and knowledge of situations as well as the match-up itself. #5: The final decision of your test comes down to the staff, not just your tester(s). #6: You should know why your team uses said Pokemon, EV spreads, movesets, etc. over others as well as what options these cover. Knowing and explaining what you are weak too is just as important. General Suggestions-#1: Staff can be tiered via meta-game knowledge, performance, tutoring skills, etc. The better the tutor the better the rank. #2: If a Staff member ever wants to try to move up a tier, they must re-test with the Type(s) they use for their position as well as their new Type(s) (unless otherwise specified). #3: Replays of you using your Type(s) and Team(s) are HIGHLY recommended as it will give us a better understanding of your skill level as well as overall strength as a player. Lastly... Being a tutor isn't for rank, prestige, acknowledgement, etc. We are tutoring to improve the skills of any and all players as well as strengthen monotype as a whole. In the end, the real goal is to make anyone better at monotype and support the community.

I would like to apply for water and/or electric tutor, I have been great in these areas of monotype getting success from both. I mained water before hoopa-u, during the genesect bug era, it was ugly. I peaked top 5 with it, but I don't have screen shots for it. I have a couple of replays with my water and no, I don't recommend Lapras, it was just something I liked. Replay 1: replay.pokemonshowdown.com/nimbus-monotype-644This first replay is me vs electric apples before he had his true peak in electric i guess, but the point is he was/is great at electric so to even be able to set up to reverse sweep was great. Replay 2: replay.pokemonshowdown.com/infinite-monotype-188While it may not be mega venusaur grass, it still is a challenge for any water team to vs this type, my team being balanced water with scarf keldeo makes it possible to compete with mega sceptile which is rare to see, but is very underated in how it can be a threat. Replay 3: replay.pokemonshowdown.com/eos-monotype-9373Not a very generic grass team, its actually doumega, but Kray was one of the best grass users I knew, always giving me trouble to beat, so to even win 1-0, I was very happy with it. Ferrothorn cradily cores are ugly. Replay 4: replay.pokemonshowdown.com/eos-monotype-62288This is my ONLY replay from the hoopa-u meta with water, it's not the best replay in the world because thats not the most threatening version of dark, but it is definately shows the power that is hoopa-u and it isnt easy to overcome. Replay 5: replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-259989306This was basically 2 days before genesect was removed for monotype, this was also during a ladder reset. If you didnt know, the only two true checks to mega pinsir on water is slowbro and rotom-wash, but because of genesect and volcarona apart of the offensive core, it was hard to beat. Winning water vs bug was a challenge but possible. Next being my pride and joy, electric... I don't think I'm the best to go for when it comes to the tutoring BUT, I do know enough to lead people in the right direction, I actually have screen shots this time around for electric, Along with replays. Most of the replays are going to be dragon probably because people see that as the biggest threat to electric, but to be honest, it depends on your build, my weakness is normal. Replay 1: replay.pokemonshowdown.com/origin-monotype-20129Mega Latias Dragon is hell, don't mess with it, you will get blown back, nothing on electric can simply ohko mega latias so status like toxic is really your best bet. This was during my phoenix try outs and its really where i got into dragon slaying. Replay 2: replay.pokemonshowdown.com/origin-monotype-61826Dethroner held an event in his little hall of fame and 2 people from each league were allowed to participate, i made it to finals, i vsed 3 dragon teams in this tour, this was the final battle, while it is a choke on alliance-guy's part, he froze my best check to kyurem-b, this is why u play to the end. Replay3/4?: replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-297140372 replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-298282572The self proclaimed dragon god soma, i made it my mission to beat this person, but i got him on ladder twice, it sucked. The first one being my most embarassing choke vs him, the second being my clutch vs him because i predicted my ass off. He's definately a challenge, but if you play properly, you can win. Screen shots: prnt.sc/9j675u prnt.sc/9ls0xxI peaked 1693 on the ladder with electric, PURELY ELECETRIC i am loyal to my type all the way through and 84 gxe is nothing to be disappointed in, even if tylacto is above you with like 4 gxe, the second one is just to show the electric trio, would of been a quartet if apples didnt tilt with me lol. This is my history that I'm willing to share for now, I gather more accolades everyday, I would love to teach people that electric isn't garbage and that water can still be the monster that it was, generic or not.

hi my name is fergusx who mains usually ground.but i have a solid built up for other types usually around steel, flying, dark, psychic and fire i want to apply as a fire tutor.well i've been growing deeply concerned about the lack of people using the type, when it is supposed to be one of the rising types after the ban of altaria mega.I want to prove to you that fire is still one of the formidable types even i achieved 1650 so far with it and the team is really putting on work.(make sure to watch out for ebola water) tbh for now i only have this replay to show fire vs psychic replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-333705196

To help new comers or simply people who want to learn a knew type some of the Monotype Staff on Origin have created a room dedicated to helping others understand this metagame at a better level.
1) Types interested in Tutoring?
Fighting
2) Bragging Right about your accomplishments in Monotype (Elo Peak, Winning BOTL, etc.) optional
I have peaked 1751 with Fighting which at the time was #1 on the ladder, I have won one BOTL with Fighting, have been in top 10 on Monotype ladder at different periods 3 times(not including my peak), and have won an Alliance Cup.
3) How well can you generally work with other people?
I work pretty well with other people irl and in Pokemon. I have worked with other people in many things on origin because of being staff in multiple rooms. For example when I was running C&E I worked with all the rest of my staff and fellow Ro's to try to improve the room.(Excluding WoA members lol)
4) A battle with a staff member of the team to make sure you are decent with the type
Can I fighting myself o.o
5) Wait for the monotype tutoring staff group to decide if you may become a tutor?
LET ME IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(im not cancer, i swear.)
Edit: I didn't get replays and I g2g ill look for some latee bcuz i have like 3000 replays lol
