Hello! For those of you who are planning to participate in the OSSB Teambuilding Challenge, this is a resource for you. This is a FULL comprehensive list of every Staff Bros. member, their role in the metagame and their ranking compared to Bros. of the same role. Use this list to help yourself build the perfect OSSB team!
Some things to keep in mind when building:
1. While yes, there are some mons who are evidently better than others (as detailed below), that does not mean an entire team of Tier 0s and 1s is going to be the undisputed champion team. It could very well have an open weakness to a Tier 2, 3 or even 4 mon. Stay open-minded and creative. These rankings are simply to serve as a visual guide.
2. Make sure your teams are mixed well when you submit them. A team lacking a Counter-Meta mon is going to have obvious issues dealing with some of the higher tier Set Up mons while a full Set Up team is going to get pummeled by just a couple WallBreakers (some of them are ridiculous). The roles of each mon are here so you may reference this list at any time.
Tier 0

Tiers
Tier 0 - These Staff Bros. work excellently against the vast majority of the meta and do so with little effort or detriment.
Tier 1 - These Staff Bros. possess qualities that allow them to fulfill their roles with much more efficiency than the majority of the metagame.
Tier 2 - These Staff Bros. possess qualities that give them a distinctive niche in the metagame and allow them to fulfill their roles with general adequacy.
Tier 3 - These Staff Bros. have the potential to be used effectively in battle but are weaker when compared to other mons of the same role.
Tier 4 - These Staff Bros. struggle to keep up with the fast-paced metagame. They are either too slow, weak or frail when pit against Bros. of the same or similar role.
Roles
WallBreaker - These Bros. have the sheer brute force needed to blow past most defenses and they do so very quickly without the need to set up.
Set Up - These Bros. have the potential to pose more of an offensive threat than WallBreakers but require some time to build up first in order to reach it.
Wall - These Bros. represent the bulky element of the meta. Their job is simply to stall whilst slowly weakening the enemy.
Poke - These Bros. do not have the brute force of WallBreakers and rather use weaker attacks coupled with either beneficial (self) or hindering (enemy) effects that give them the upper hand.
Counter-Meta - Rather than pose a defensive or offensive threat themselves, these Bros. use effects to turn the tide of battle and go against the general pace of the meta.
